In a groundbreaking move, FrostBoss® is proud to unveil its cutting-edge new Blade Manufacturing Facility, based here in Hawkes Bay. This move helps propel us to the forefront of the global frost fan market with the expanded facility tripling our manufacturing capacity. This reinforces our standing as a key player in the frost fan market and positions the brand for an exciting future as we expand further and further across the globe.

Andrew Priest, CEO of FrostBoss®, elaborated on the current strategic moves, stating, "To coincide with this milestone, we have launched a refreshed FrostBoss® brand and have elevated it to be our global trading name. FrostBoss® as our global master brand positions us for growth in new markets beyond NZ and Australia, reinforcing our commitment to producing efficient frost fans that safeguard crops on six continents.”

Alongside increasing the scale of the business and showcasing the new branding the facility has been designed to eliminate a number of significant hazards and be a safer work environment through the introduction of new robotic technology supplied by ABB & Italian company Roboticom. The new improvements are revolutionising traditional manufacturing processes, not only boosting production efficiency but also enhancing product consistency. What used to be labour-intensive manufacturing has now been turned into automated processes.

One of the products to be manufactured here will be the new Lay-Down tower. Recognising the need for aesthetically sensitive areas, this innovation caters to regions with visual amenity regulations, such as UNESCO heritage areas. This is just one of a number of innovative developments alongside 'designed to perform' blades which result in more efficient, economical and quieter frost fans.

The grand opening of the new blade manufacturing facility signifies an exciting leap forward showcasing us as a global leader in frost protection. With increased manufacturing capacity, innovative technology, and a commitment to excellence, FrostBoss® stands poised to protect crops and ensure grower peace of mind at a time when climate change has resulted in more unpredictable weather conditions worldwide.
